Working with Children & Volunteering

Parents and volunteers are encouraged to support St. John’s Primary School and our students by volunteering their time to help in classrooms, school events, excursions, canteen and various other times as invited by the school.  In 2008, new State Legislation required volunteers working with children in Victoria to have a current Working with Children Check (WWWC).

If you would like to volunteer your time at St. John’s Primary School for any purpose/event, you will need a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), this is Victorian Government legislation.

PAM requests/Medical Profile

Each year in PAM we require parents to sign off on various documents and requests such as the Parent Code of Conduct and students travelling to St Pius X Church for Mass etc These requests will reset on 22nd January 2024.  We ask families to log into PAM and sign off on the requests after this date so they are accepted before the start of the 2024 school year.

It is also a good opportunity for you to review your child's medical profile and update if neccessary. We can't reiterate enough how important it is for us to have this correct information at hand.

Please check your child's Asthma Action plan- we require a new plan every 12 months signed by a doctor. The holiday break is a good time to get these sorted, before the start of each school year.

Parents and Friend's Social Group

At our final assembly last week the P & F presented the school with a cheque for $38,000.

We are very lucky to have such a wonderful, dedicated group of parents who work tirelessly to coordinate fundraising events for our school. We appreciate you all.  A special mention must go to our president Malynda De Bono for overseeing the group.

Lastly thank you to all of our incredible families for supporting all of the fundraising initatives.
