The Foundation and grade 1 students have access to sets of iPads that are used to complement teaching in the classroom. They are used throughout the day, particularly within literacy, maths and inquiry. Throughout their specialist technology class, students often use Chromebooks to further develop their technology skills. Middle area Grade 2 students have access to class sets of iPads and desktop computers. The devices are used to engage with 21st century learning and further develop their computer literacy. Grade 3 and 4 students have one-to-one Chromebooks that are purchased by the school. These are used within classes as learning resources to develop students independent learning abilities as well as their technology skills. Senior area The grade 5 and 6 students have one-to-one Chromebooks that are purchased by the school. Students and teachers use the Google Suite, such as Google Classroom and Google Drive, to engage with daily tasks and work collaboratively and safely online. Providing the students with an opportunity to learn the necessary skills required for current and future technological needs. |

We have access to a range of other technologies at St John's Dennington. A new curriculum area, within maths, is Coding. Through coding, children can learn computational skills, develop their problem solving abilities and equip students with skills that could be useful in the future.
